The Birmingham Blogger Meet

The Birmingham Blogger Meet took place last Friday at The Body Shop New Street, and it couldn’t have been a nicer way to spend a Friday night. It was the first time the New Street branch had hosted a blogger event, and I seriously hope it won’t be the last; they put on such a good spread and were so friendly throughout the evening. The event was organised by Abbigayle from Steal Stylist who had got every aspect of the night down to a T. As well as tutorials and treatments from The Body Shop, the event was mainly focused on interacting and getting to know other local bloggers, which as I’ve said before and I’m going to say again, is such a great perk to blogging.

As well as being pampered by The Body Shop staff and discovering their products, the night was interspersed with mini games to help us get to know each other and have a laugh. Since the Birmingham Blogger Meet was all about meeting local bloggers and discovering their blogs, below are some links to said blogs, so you can discover them too:

Imagine Dream Write by Sarah is a lifestyle blog full of advice, articles and culture.

Laura Loves by Laura is a fashion, beauty and fitness blog great for outfit inspiration.

It’s About the Little Things by Chenelle is a blog full of lifestyle posts, beauty and fashion.

Love Icon Fantasy Ego by Hannah is a lifestyle blog including reviews of places in Brum.

Steal Stylist by the organiser Abbigayle is a blog of fashion, beauty and all things girly.

Sophie etc. by Sophie is a style and beauty blog by a good blogging pal of mine.

The evening ended with a raffle, prize giving and goody bags, so a very generous end to a very fun night. The night was sponsored by Propercorn, and prize or goody bag donations included Millie’s Cookies, Starbucks and of course The Body Shop.Β Often when people refer to the ‘perks’ of blogging they mean freebies and exclusive events such as this, but honestly the biggest perk for me so far has to be meeting so many nice people and making some new blogging buddies. If any local bloggers would be interested in coming to the next Birmingham Blogger Meet then make sure to get in touch with Abbigayle so that she can invite you next time.

Aww it was lovely getting to meet you! And yes, it was great how the event was focused on making friends with local bloggers – especially as I have never met any bloggers before, let alone any so close in Birmingham πŸ™‚ will hopefully see you at future events in the new year!
